HTCPedia is home to an awesome ROM development and flashing community. Really, it's because of you guys that we're all here. However, this isn't a post so much as it is a question to you guys: what are your plans come upgrade time?
A new WM 6.5.5 “Elegancia” ROM series is released with an updated Manila version (2016) and some minor changes. As a well known ROM; “Elegancia” still features its unique looks and colorful menus and icons, its improved speed performance and stability makes it one of the most popular ROMs for the HD2. Version 10.0 features the addition of Anuvadak Application and endkey menu list is grayscale again.
This is really one of the FASTEST ROMs I have tested, you will notice this yourself. Very stable and very close to HD2 stock ROMs with an updated WM (21908) and updated Manila version (20161332), some of the frequently used applications by KWBR were removed such as WinRAR and VNC Viewer. Other than that this is a great ROM for WM 6.5 users.
Another quick ROM release by Dutty that updates previously released ROM V4.2. No differences has been noticed between this ROM and the previously released one, but still this is an excellent ROM update with a lot of performance updates under the hood.
Android is the most recent hot phone platform, with market share growing at a rapid pace, and handsets with the OS being touted across the web. Impressive how far Android has come in a relatively short time, and how well it has occupied the market. All Windows Mobile users are eager to see the effect of WM7 release and how well it will do side by side with its rivals the Android OS or iPhone 4.
Another excellent ROM by Dutty is released. This ROM features the same performance and same outstanding stability of Dutty’s previously released ROM with multiple updates listed below and few fixes for some previously reported minor errors. No issues to be mentioned with one of the best ROMs out there for the HTC HD2.
Dinik updates his joint work with Miri with a new released version of “Miri & Dinik ROM”. Icons are made nicely in 3D and glassy appearance with prominent borders. The distinctive crystal appearance of Dinik theme is still there with its excellent battery performance and high stability would make this ROM on top.
This ROM comes with multiple updates starting from Manila version and the most recent CHT up to the addition of three new applications, the Shake And Save, HD2Tweak and JWMD Icon Changer.
An updated ROM version of KWBR Topix that utilizes the updated WM 6.5 build (21905), although this is a recent update by Topix, Manila version is still not updated, hopefully this will be done with Topix upcoming ROM. MS OneNote and SharePoint was removed. This ROM showed to be stable and very fast with no issues to be mentioned.
Miri’s ROMs are getting dressed up, competition is up and we can see new ROM cooks with a variety of icons and colored folders. Ironically, using this ROM will not only keep you aware not to drop your HD2 but also might force you to tab gently over the screen, Icons are made nicely in 3D and glassy appearance with prominent borders that makes it feel like the icon is going to crack once taped. I would give the name “Glassparent” to this ROM for its crystal appearance. It’s Amazing battery performance with extreme stability would make this ROM recommended for download.
Fully updated ROM release by Dutty, you won’t feel the difference -with these updates- between Dutty’s current ROM and previously released ROMs, but for sure it will increase your HD2 stability and performance. I can assure you that your HD2 will suffer no hang-ups and never freeze from physical memory dump.
