Google Lowers Projected Nexus One Sales to 1 Million

Price change on the Nexus One

For those of you who paid $370 for a Nexus One will receive a $100 refund from Google soon. It does not apply to others customers who bought a Nexus One. The whole price dropping seems to be the response to the criticisms about buying options posted on the official Android Device support forums. A Google employee posted about their awareness of these concerns, "Also, as you've probably seen elsewhere, we've listened to everyone's feedback and concerns and are working to expand the group of customers that qualify for upgrade pricing on the Nexus One. Registration for Google I/O 2010 is now open

The registration for Google I/O 2010 is now open. Hosted in the Moscone Center in San Francisco on May 19-20 it is the largest developer event of the year. Will have five Android sessions, the Developer Sandbox to show new apps, and many more speakers with members from Android's team. A Google I/O quoted, "Join us for two days of deep technical content featuring Android, Google Chrome, Google APIs, GWT, App Engine, open web technologies, and more. Google I/O features 80 sessions, more than 3,000 developers, and over demonstrations from developers showcasing their technologies. Talk shop with engineers building the next generation of web, mobile, and enterprise applications." It is a wonderful event to attend if you develop Android apps, and everyone says that they blast. Last years conference was sold out before the start so if you plan on attending sing up early. It is $400 for attendees and $100 for academia if you sign up early. Have fun.

There wasn't supposed to be a Google handset, so said Andy Rubin, the VP of engineering at Google, but according to the recent news from a inside source the Google phone is a certainty.
