Even with no impressive marketing campaign, it appears that HTC has still been able to pique enough interest in the One to net "several hundred thousand" pre-orders in the U.S. While that's no number to sneeze at, HTC will have to combat Samsung more than ever due to the One's previous delay. In an internal message by an un-named HTC executive, HTC confirms that this is the strongest consumer response they've ever had.
It's great to see a huge early response, but it's hardly indicative of how things are going to go in the long run. The One has had strong early reviews, but the battle is entirely up-hill. There will be no easy wins for HTC. We'll see in the coming months if they have what it takes to stand strong, especially after an almost comically bad couple of years.

Today, episode 32 has all to do with which company is doing the dumber moves. Honestly I am leaning toward HTC only because of their current status. Apple can be as dumb as they want because their customers do not really think before they get on those long lines.
We keep seeing all these benchmark tests come out showing either the HTC One X or the Samsung Galaxy S3. What about the HTC One S. Do not worry. I have done the test and video for you with the HTC One S.
