HTC Wildfire on Virgin Media

Virgin Media has just announced that they will be offering the new HTC Wildfire in the UK. The release date is a rather vague Q3 of this year and the price and tariff are yet to be announced. The HTC Wildfire is a scaled down budget version of the incredibly successful HTC Desire. It offers many of the same features with a strong focus on social media and it seems likely that it will prove very popular as an entry level Android handset. The HTC Wildfire will be a lot slower than the HTC Desire and it will feature a lower resolution screen but the lower price should be enough to tempt many people. HTC are smart to offer an affordable alternative to their big selling smartphones and there is speculation that the Wildfire will prove popular with students and young people who want the social media features but have a tight budget.
