Where we bad? As HTC-Santa holds back release of Passion

If you were expecting the new HTC-shaped Android 2.0 to be out for Christmas, you are in for a disappointment. According to Digitimes, the Passion's release has been delayed for several months to where it won’t come out for sale until early 2010. So much for HTC's Android 2.0, when it finally gets out it could be a Android 2.1. How embarrassing for HTC. Motorola already has their Android 2.0 on sale and it is doing quite well. HTC's Android, when it gets out, promises to be a very convenient phone. Besides being pleasing to the eye, it should be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz chip and the OLED screen has been sized to 3.5 inches.

Will the Google phone be going to T-Mobile

TmoNews, while prefacing with a complete rumor disclaimer, and to be taken with “serious grains of salt”, but has been passed along from a “trusty ninja who has yet to lead him astray” has pointed to the fact that T-Mobile will be the first owner of the new to be released Google hone. AND the release date will be in the first two weeks of January. Exclusivity to T-Mobile was not conveyed but I know all of us would be happy to see in other carriers AND don’t really expect AT&T to jump on the band wagon. Everything else seems to be hush hush still and we’ll just have to wait until mid-january to determine the validity of this information and hopefully the finer details.

Get ready for the Google-phone

While one would Why would Google ever sell a smartphone but it has been confirmed that Google is in fact coming out with a phone. Interesting is the top rumored phone would be the HTC Dragon/Passion as this phone has been seen being carried around by the Android guys over at Google. While there are still many rumors floating around it seems that for certain Google will release the phone in early 2010 and the phone will be produced by a phone manufacturer but have the Google branding.
