HTC Desire is now available through US Cellular

The long waited Android based HTC Desire has finally arrived to USA through US Cellular. The carrier was promising it's launch for the past few months and has finally came through with it on Saturday, August 28, 2010. The HTC Desire will cost you $199.95 with a two-year service contract and a $70 mail-in rebate. The specs of this CDMA version device are the same as the ones on GSM version HTC Desire. It is running Android 2.1 (Eclair) with 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen display, 1 GHz snapdragon processor, 5.0 Camera/Camcorder with LED flash, WiFi, 3G support and more. Those of you who reside in USA and have purchased an unlocked HTC Desire know that 3G data speeds were not available through any of the US service providers. Therefore, US Cellular is the first carrier in the states to offer HTC Desire with a full 3G support. The only negative, US Cellular is not available in all 50 states.
