Update for HTC HD2 – New SMS Function Update

Damn!!!!! HTC should change their way to explain what exactly the update does. These marketing bull**** annonying me.

Ok. About the update. First experience - installation process really lasts longer than every other update... Hope it will solve the problem with the response when you have more than 80-100 sms inbox from one man... we'll see. Comment your experience guys.

Installed the update, and it seems like they changed a lot of stuff in the HTC Messaging application. Feels -a lot- faster now, I haven't had any delays when opening a thread containing 50+ sms messages.

Super update, it install new version of SMS client, now is reading fast, contact photos in SMS, editor is really very fast, i can recomend this, update is possible to install on cooked ROMs (Duttys, Itje etc)

Second experience - the update adds the number of sms with each person of conversation (in "all messages") and it also adds "-GSM" to the end of each sms - and it really sucks :/ omg

Okey, taking back the "-GSM" thing. Seems it was only the question of sms BEFORE this update. So everything OK :) Great Update!

Excellent update, I must say. The whole messaging part of the phone just works beautifully now.

we also have a cab for this in our app section now, so that all devices with custom roms using hd2 software can benefit from this

As above, Update provides the ability for you to commence typing text for an SMS instantly instead of waiting for the whole SMS thread to load up. Also adds -GSM to the end of pre-update SMS's and includes a SMS counter for all messages included in the SMS thread of all messages tab.

Finally a good update! Was waiting for this or an auto archiver like WinMo 6.1

I'm even not able to run this hotfix - got the error message "hotfix is not compatible with your device". What is the md5sum or cksum of the file you have downloaded please ?

AT LAST!!!! Yes this is a great update and it WORKS. I have pictures with some contacts and there is not lag factor now. With the previous update/patch I found it took ages for the keyboard to become active when selecting a contact with a picture but worked well for contacts without pictures.

It fix the SMS lag but create heaps of problems... that's why HTC took it down, down install yet.... unless you wanna hard reset in a few days :D
