Leaked Android 2.1 ROM indicates the possibility of new smartphone names

Deep within the code of the recently leaked Android 2.1 ROM for the Hero, xda-developers have found a list of possible codenames for future HTC Android handsets.

The list includes names such as Bahamas, Bravo, DesireC, Dragon, Dream, Espresso, Halo, HeroCT, HeroC, Hero, Huangshan, Incredible, Legend, Liberty, Memphis, Paradise, PassionC, Passion, Sapphire and Supersonic.

Some of the names we are familiar with while others would indicate the possibility of devices in the works and maybe being released in the near future. Then again, those of us that are familiar with development practices these names could just be internal development names not ever to be released. We will just have to wait for another leak I guess.
