The Verizon HTC Touch Pro2 running Windows Mobile, as rated by Consumer Reports, is second in the most highly rated smartphone of this year—being beaten only by the iPhone 3GS. The Touch Pro2 rating second should not be a surprise since it is most always sold out online and also outscores iPhones, Android, and Blackberries in business phones. While Microsoft itself seems to be caught up in the belief that an Android phone is a must by retreating to work on Windows Mobile 7, we as consumers shouldn’t forget that 6.x has many advantages over other smartphones. And believe it or not, there are analysts out there who believe that Windows Mobile could become very competitive if the effort and time was put into changing the mind of the public. I can include myself in that opinion and am waiting for the comeback.
