HTC Rezound TV Out: Connect to HDTV via HDMI cable Htcpedia news:HTC Rezound is equipped with a very useful feature (something that was not even available on the HTC Thunderbolt), the TV out feature. If the phone's screen is not big enough for you or if you just want to stream anything from your HTC Rezound onto your big screen TV, then keep on reading below to learn how to do it. HTC Rezound comes with MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) ready right out of the box. However, it does not include the actual MHL adapter, which is sold separately. By connecting HTC Rezound to your high-definition TV you will be able to stream everything from your phone onto the big screen. Yes, that includes the home screen, an email app, browser, YouTube, pictures, movies, Netflix and much much more. It can even display in portrait as well as in landscape. Simply rotate the your phone from portrait to landscape and it will do the same on the TV. How to connect HTC Rezound to HDTV In order for you to connect HTC Rezound to any HDTV you will need the following physical items (see image below).
Once you have these 3 items in place you are now ready to connect your HTC Rezound to your TV. The setup will look like in the image below. The other end of the HDMI cable will connect to the TV and the wall charger to the wall outlet (wall charger must be connected to the MHL adapter in order for the phone screen to display on TV). As soon as you connect all the cables to all the proper ports (TV, phone, outlet) the phone will start to stream content directly to the TV. Once that happens you should see HDMI letters in the upper left corner on the phone's screen (see image below). Go ahead and start enjoying any content or app from your HTC Rezound on the big screen of your TV. Try rotating your phone from vertical to horizontal position to get a better view on the TV screen. Displaying phone's screen in portrait mode If you happen to own or planning on buying HTC's official dock for the HTC Rezound, the good news is that it is also MHL ready and you can use it for your TV out capabilities. If you add HTC Rezound docking station to this set up, it will look like in the image below. HTC Rezound's TV out option is just one of the many great features it has to offer. If you are a multimedia addict then this set up will definitely keep you entertained and deliver more options to your entertainment needs. Rate this: 1 2 3 4 5 Rate

Comments (8) By gbishop18 November 15, 2011 08:48 PM I can't get it to work on mine. Have it all set up correctly. I know its not the tv or hdmi cable, power is getting to the phone through the MHL device, tried 2 different htc MHL adapters(brand New). Must be the phone right? (Reply) By chicfromca December 15, 2011 09:21 PM I can see my content but I'm streaming a movie and can hear the sound on my phone but not out my TV. How do I get the sound to come through my sound system? (Reply) By Marchello January 17, 2012 03:35 PM There is a special order in which you have to connect the cables. Refer to this forum thread where I talk about how to connect the cables in order to get the sound on your TV. To answer your question, the sound is also streamed to a TV. It charges but my HDMI port states no signal. Is there any setting within the phone that should be changed? (Reply)
