Comments (43) By itaa55ass1n November 18, 2011 11:28 AM Got my rezound first day it was available. Definitely the best phone I've owned so far(coming from a droid x) So, haven't found any problems with it, aside from battery life, but I fixed that with the 2750mah battery. I like that it came with the ibeats headphones, but I would like if you could use the beats audio outside of the music app. Other than that..definitely the best phone I've owned so far. (Reply) By NightAngel79 November 18, 2011 11:50 AM I absolutely love my new Rezound. Not sure if i wanna make it bigger with a case, or take away from the beauty of the screen by using a screen protector either. Am very intrigued by the extended battery and the media dock though (Reply) By ratman November 18, 2011 11:59 AM I bought one last night. It's really pretty nice (along the lines of the one that I got for my Moto Droid back in the day). Still learning how to fit it as fast and as well as the Droid worked. It just doesn't seem as smooth. The car mount that Verizon has, is awkward in more ways. Though the set up comes with inserts that will handle the extended battery, it just feels cheaply made and designed. (Reply) By ratman November 18, 2011 11:53 AM Had it for a full 3 days! Likes: Screen. Size. Speed. Look. Dislikes: Beats should work through out sound applications. Accessories (always seem like after thoughts. Motorola did a much better job with theirs IMHO.) (Reply) By mathough November 18, 2011 12:04 PM I got my rezound yesterday. Upgrading from the original droid, this phone is amazing. It is super fast and responsive. I don't think the Beats integration is that important though. I think more people need to focus on the quality of the display. It is amazing. It seems like most of the review site gloss over the fact that statistically it's the best display out there. (Reply) By nelamvr6 November 18, 2011 12:13 PM I've had my Rezound for five days now, and I believe it is the best phone I've ever used. The screen is a thing of beauty! It alone makes the phone worth the price. The Beats earbuds were OK at best, but I do like the Beats DSP audio enhancements. I just wish they worked on all music players, and not just the default player. I believe that all of the fears on battery life were unfounded, I got 14 hours on a single charge, not bad for such a powerful device. Two thumbs up! (Reply) By Frankr93 November 18, 2011 02:55 PM The phone is amazing. Impressive in many aspects. The display is gorgeous and expected with such high pixel density and true 720p resolution. I got the phone the it launched and to this day it hasn't lagged and runs very fluently with it's 1.5 GHz dual core processor. I know many people stray away from HTC because of HTC sense but I personally like the skin HTC has placed on Androids ios. So I was pleased to know that the rezound would be launching with sense 3.5. Web browsing not only looks pretty but it's very speedy with verizons lte network. Very impressive and the best phone I have had so far. It works very well in my area and I stay covered almost anywhere. The design is very elegant and the red gives it a special touch. Although it may be "bulky" in todays standards it's very comfortable in my hand and the prefect size in my opinion. Beats integration was a big plus since I'm a music head and the sound quality of the headphones with the audio enchantment software sounds great. I can understand the fact that this may drive some people away since it emphasizes on bass. Picture and video quality are very good. Voice quality could be better but not bad. Overall it's an amazing phone and I would recommend it to anyone trying to replace there old smartphone. (Reply) By WD6FOX November 18, 2011 02:56 PM I got my Rezound the day it launched. This is my 1st 4g phone, and I don't even have 4g service in my area I live. Coming from the Motorola Droid "X" I have to say I like the use of the phone. Having the different widgets allows me to quickly plan my day, and my week. I often need to look at my schedule , and it is as easy as flicking to the next page. The customization features are outstanding! From being able to adjust your home page, to the different lock screens. I am a little dissappointed at the battery life, and actually wish that the screen was larger. All in all it is a great phone, and am trying to convince my wife to get this phone. (Reply) By adamw123 November 18, 2011 04:43 PM Awesome phone! Highly Recommend! (Reply) By adamw123 November 18, 2011 04:47 PM Continued from review above.. (Reply) By vzwuser76 November 18, 2011 07:43 PM Ordered on the 14th and got it on the 15th. I was a little hesitant after having the Thunderbolt for awhile (but have had no issues with either my Incredible or Incredible2). So far I'm loving this phone. The screen is beautiful, it's very snappy, the camera's is great, and the battery life while not like a feature phone, will get you through a day. Love the feel in the hand, and the Beats was better than I expected. Looking forward to trying out the mhl adapter you guys have. The only gripe I can think of is that the HTC Flashlight app didn't come on the phone, but hopefully they'll address that in the next update. (Reply) By olbriar November 18, 2011 08:46 PM I purchased my Rezound on release day and have had a blast with it all week. It's a great device with an unbelievable display. 4g rocks on the Rezound. This phone is more than I expected and I expected a lot. (Reply) By TxGoat November 18, 2011 09:59 PM The Rezound is a decent step up from HTC's first 4G phone on Verizon's network, the Thunderbolt. The phone doesn't feel quite as heavy as the Thunderbolt nor is it as wide. The screen is a little sharper, although it's not as bright as that of the Thunderbolt and the color could be a little denser, but otherwise it's a very beautiful screen. 1080p recording is also a plus for the phone but some users have reported an electronic noise during recording. The Beats earphones are not going to impress the most seasoned audiophile but do provide MP3 and phone controls. Other than the headphones activating an equalizer setting built into the phone specifically for the earphones, you're probably better going aftermarket for a nice set of earphones. The phone itself is very responsive with a dual core snapdragon. Battery life is just a little larger than that on the Thunderbolt and thus you should gain an hour or two of extra battery life. All in all the phone is a solid performer that should not get lost when compared to the vanity of the Razr or the exclusivity of ICS in the soon to be released Galaxy Nexus. (Reply) By knicks0320 November 18, 2011 10:54 PM I upgraded to the HTC Rezound two days ago and I am blown away compared to my Original Droid. I have had my OG Droid for 2 years and it had slowed to a crawl. The Rezound thus far is lightening fast in all categories. I surf the web faster on 4G than I do on my PC. The downloads from the market are nearly instantaneous, which is certainly welcome considering my old phone would take several minutes to download the same applications. The HD screen is brilliant and simply stunning, which goes very well with the 8mp camera. The HD video shooting is also very nice. The phone feels very comfortable in my hands and feels well put together, unlike some cheap feeling phones. I am certainly glad I chose the Rezound over the Iphone 4s which has outdated specs. The Rezound's specs are top of the line, 1.5ghz dual-core processor, 4G, HD screen with more pixels per inch than the Iphone's "retina display", and it's due to receive Ice Cream Sandwich early 2012. Not to mention the 32 GB of memory that come with the phone, half pre-installed, the rest in a 16 GB memory card. Beats audio makes a huge difference in the base and sounds very smooth. I honestly have no complaints about my HTC Rezound thus far, I absolutely love it! (Reply) By Kirra87 November 18, 2011 11:04 PM Been using the resound since Monday and I love it. I thought I'd miss the keyboard of my droid 2 but texting on this phone is a breeze! The screen is wonderfully clear even with an anti-glare screen protector on it. The extended battery is a great acessory for it if your into streaming movies like I am. Awesome phone htc, with a great sense skin as a nice bonus. (Reply) By greatbeyond November 19, 2011 12:51 AM I love the Rezound it's the newest in the HTC smartphone lineup. I loved HTC way back in the HTC incredible days and they just keep getting better and better. My Rezound has the nicest screen of any smartphone, it's even better than the Retina display. I love the quality build of the phone and HTC dependability. I would say this is the best phone out and will be the best phone until HTC top themselves again. Love HTC (Reply) By greatbeyond November 19, 2011 12:54 AM I also love the beefy processor in the Rezound, nobody else is touching the power it puts out. I like how HTC don't skimp on quality and horsepower like many phone makers due to cost issues. HTC phones cost more to produce because of the quality materials that go into them and the latest tech cost more. If a company can make less profit on each unit, but sell more of them that is a smart move. keep up the good work (Reply) By richardski November 19, 2011 06:16 AM Great phone. Fast, awesome camera, audio and display. Battery could or should I say could of been better. Went from tbolt. (Reply) By evilempire68 November 19, 2011 06:29 AM I bought the Rezound Wednesday and LOVE IT!!! I'm a big music person and when I listen to music with the Rezound it sounds awesome. I also took pictures and videos with the camera and it blows my mind that I took them with a phone. They are very clear and look great. The phone is fast and super smooth. But the winner is screen!!! I'm coming from a Moto phone and to compare this screen to that is like night and day. The screen is so clear that sometimes I forget I'm looking at my phone. I have a Slingbox and I was watching a hockey game in HD on my phone. It doesn't get any better then that! I love this phone and thank you to HTC for making such a great phone. (Reply) By linkedup84 November 19, 2011 08:06 AM I got the Rezound the day it came out. I love it except the battery drains very quickly if you are using it a lot. If you just use it as a music player which I do a lot because it sounds so good, battery life is not that bad. Everything happens quickly, although a couple times it has frozen due to me doing a lot at once. The camera is decent, although not great and the video recording is good too. I would recommend this phone but I would also recommend an extra battery or 2. I would not recommend the extended battery as it makes the phone very heavy and big, although it does last 33% longer. (Reply) By steelersfanpb November 19, 2011 10:15 AM I got the HTC Rezound the day after it became avaipable, it is by far the best amrtphone i have ever owned. I upgraded from the HTC Incredible and I can tell a major difference. The screen is beautiful, Beats audio is amazing. What I like about it: Screen, Beats, Design, Color, Camera, Htc Sense. (Reply)
