HTC MHL Cable connects your device to the HDTV

If you happen to own one of the latest HTC devices, the HTC EVO 3D, HTC Sensation 4G, HTC Flyer or HTC EVO View 4G then you're in luck. These HTC devices are equipped with the MHL port for use with the HTC MHL adapter.

MHL is short for Mobile High-Definition Link which really looks like a microUSB port but has an ability to stream audio and video as well as charge and send data from your smartphone or tablet onto your HDTV. This is the next generation TV out solution.

The HTC MHL cable adapter has a microUSB connector on one end of the cable and on the other end it features a microUSB charging port as well as HDMI port (regular size HDMI). All you have to do is connect the MHL adapter to the charging port on your HTC EVO 3D, HTC Sensation, or HTC tablet and connect regular size HDMI cable (sold separately). You can now stream video and audio to your HDTV.

You can also connect your existing wall charger from your device to the MHL adapter to keep the battery charging while your smartphone or table streaming content to you big screen TV.

If your HDTV is MHL ready then you're in better luck. Why? Because your MHL ready TV can charge your device while you can use your TV's remote to control video/audio/data on your HTC device (this feature is only available for MHL ready HDTVs).

To recap MHL adapter cable allows you to stream video, audio, data, and charge your device all with one port. This HTC AC M490 MHL adapter is currently compatible with HTC EVO 3D, HTC Sensation 4G, HTC Flyer, and HTC EVO View 4G devices.

HTC MHL cable is currently available for sale from HTCPedia Shop.
