Say it ain’t so, Sprint. 8080.net has this alleged leaked photo of Sprint’s CDMA version of what was already the best looking Android phone on the market.

The Sprint HTC Hero could more closely resemble the HTC Magic. Sources say gone are the Teflon coating, the chin and futuristic-looking edges, and supposedly the Android phone will have gold detail around the trackball, along with a two-tone face.

The picture could be a fake, and personally I hope it is. I love the HTC Hero as is and I think it’s one fine-looking piece of machinery; no alterations needed.

Are you sure this is HTC Hero and not HTC Magic? This looks exactly like HTC Magic, MyTouch 3G.

she said it could be faked....looks like a magic to me. i understand customizing for each carrier, but this would be murder! why would sprint be so dumb is beyond me..

Hope it's fake, I think this looks horrible. Cheap and tacky bling, specially with the gold ...
The Hero is is one of the best phone designs I've ever seen. Carriers should not modify the basic structure and shape of the design.
