HTC HD2 Makes its Debut on the O2 UK Catalog

The HTC HD2, or Leo as his old friends call him, finally makes an appearance in something official -- namely, the catalog for O2 UK.

It looks like the phone will make it's "for sale" debut on October 12, possibly with a ship date of October 26th. Another interestin note is the inclusion of the new Windows Mobile 6.5 UI and not TouchFLO 3D, according to engadget.

We've got the full page catalog here for your viewing pleasure. More news on the HD2 as it surfaces, and lately, it's surfacing quite frequently.

Good stuff. Thank God O2 have finally stopped their Xda rebranding/restyling madness - I might actually get this phone on a contract.

Oh, and Engadget is just being stupid about the UI - they're basing that claim on the fact that they can see a standard WM6.5 start menu: "Interesting that it's pictured with a stock Windows Mobile 6.5 UI instead of TouchFLO 3D." TouchFLO 3D no longer replaces the start menu, so its visibility tells us nothing about whether or not O2's HD2 will come with TouchFLO 3D.

Engadget have not stated that it does not come with TF3D. There comment is "Interesting that it's pictured with a stock Windows Mobile 6.5 UI instead of TouchFLO 3D." ie why did they not show a picture with TF3D instead of WM6.5. By the way - there is a new build of TF3D around - 2.5.3430. Guess it will be cooked into roms soon.
