HTC G1 to get Android 2.0 Update at T-Mobile; Maybe.

Rumor has it that the HTC G1 from T-Mobile will be getting the Android 2.0 update or to 2.0.1 sometime in the future. As with all rumors there is no indication of when or if this is actually happening.

While we all enjoy the latest and greatest devices and software versions, there is some concern as to whether the G1 will be able to support the 2.0 effectively—stating that 2.0 is an overkill for the device that already has issues with running 1.6.

So, for all our G1 device holders out there, what are your thoughts? Will you give it a go?

Hells yea! why not? my dream runs 1.6 with eclair features flawlessly thanx to xda devs, and if this 2.0x gets ported I will undoubtedly use it and enjoy it to the fullest

My wife has a White TMO G1/HTC Dream and it runs 1.6 w/Eclair bits (thanks to Cyanogen) flawlessly. That little puppy flies, I can't even believe it. So, I'm sure that, even if they don't release it out for the G1's/Dreams, Cyanogen (and others) will undoubtedly port it over and have it running just fine.
