HTC Desire line getting gingerbread update Htcpedia news:
Just because HTC has trotted out the sequel to the HTC Desire doesn't mean that they plan to forget about the original. According to CNET, the HTC Desire line will receive updates to Android 2.3. However, the updates won't come until after the Desire S is launched in the Spring. HTC hasn't provided a timetable for the updates, but they did confirm that the Desire HD and Desire Z will be the first to get updated, with the original Desire following along.
