Android 2.3 Gingerbread Screenshots

Okay, so we're still exploring the Android 2.3 Gingerbread SDK, but in the meantime, here are some screenshots of the UI from the emulator. And yes, we know that a lot of this will just end up getting shoved aside in favor of HTC Sense, but it's still worth a look.

A couple of observations: it looks like Google is going with black on white as the official UI color scheme, as it's everywhere. Also, as noted in Phandroid's leak, orange accents are everywhere: from the highlights when you select text to the bounce "force field" effect you get when scrolling to the end of a list.

It looks like the web browser automatically reflows text when zoomed it, which is something HTC users have grown accustomed to.
