Taking the HTC HD2 apart; LITERALLY

We’ve seen the pretty pictures and videos but now it’s time to take a peak inside the HTC HD2. Now I might not have the dexterity to do this but the boys over at xda-devlopers seem to have a clean way of taking a smartphone apart. If this is something that interest you, without ruining your or your friend’s phone, head over to HTC HD2 Dis-Assembled Photos thread. I’m no expert but the machine looks pretty clean to me.

I'm sorry. what's the point of taking the HD2 or any phones apart without any purposes besides showing to people that you got extra money and don't know what to do with it -__-

agree 100% with you there. although there are those that just can't restrain themselves. usually i just get disappointed that something seems just too simple under the covers for what i just paid.

You can put them back together again quite happily if you know what you're doing - I know a guy who dismantles and reassembles every phone he gets (presumably out of curiosity and for fun).

I agree.
The only reason I could see is if you wanted to change your phone's housing, like I was thinking of doing with my HTC Touch (the ugly VZW version).
I guess it's a hobby for some people.
