HTC Released 4th Quarter Earnings

Peter Chou, CEO of the Taiwanese based company HTC, said " In 2011 we saw growth. While short term performance may not meet the results as expected, we have gained further experience and advancement in the areas of brand management and product innovation. These fundamental strengths and the groundwork we have laid will take us in to 2012 with renewed focus and determination."

So.... What was Peter Chou saying?

2012 shows HTC focusing its marketing resources on fewer, more high end, products. HTC plans on proving themselves at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain at the end of February.

HTC's annual revenue went from NT 278.76 bn in 2010 to NT 465.79 bn in 2011. That is a 67.09% increase. HTC also reported a gross profit and operating margins of 27.12% and 12.71%.

To sum up, HTC did very well last year, and 2012 is shaping up to be a tech battle between the mobile giants. With the release of the HTC Ville and the quad core HTC Edge, the company looks very promising with renewed focus and determination connecting with customers wants and needs.
