HTC Profits Down 98% in First Quarter

HTC's entire existence at this point seems to be ruled by the idea of the double-edged sword. After reporting record pre-order numbers for the HTC One in the U.S, they have now made public the fact that they've had the worst quarter since, well, ever.
In the first quarter of 2013, HTC's profit's plummeted by 98%. If it wasn't incredibly clear previously, it should be now that HTC has to make the One a success. Hopefully they will also be bolstered by the First, but let's take it one step at a time.
For anyone keeping track, this is HTC's sixth quarter of reported loss.

They keep doing stupid stuff. Why would you create one Flagship (Droid DNA) only to replace it a couple of months later? That is a ridiculous waste of resources and only serves to piss of the people (Like me) that bought the DNA, thinking they had the flagship. That only alienates customers. Take a lesson from Samsung...one flagship per year.
