HTC One X vs Samsung Galaxy S III

Yesterday, in London, Samsung introduced the cellular community to the Galaxy S 3. I have to admit that it is a very impressive smartphone and I thought that you may want to see a HTC One X comparison. After all, they are the two most powerful smartphones in the world.
The first thing that I will start with is the display. The size difference between the two is tiny. 4.8 inches for the Samsung Galaxy S 3 and 4.7 inches for the HTC One X. Not much of a difference till you see what kind of displays they are sporting. The Samsung GS3 has a HD Super AMOLED with 306 ppi, and the HTC One X has a Super LCD 2 with 316 ppi. The jury is still out on which one is better. They both look incredible.
Lets talk about chip sets and battery now. The Samsung Galaxy S 3 has the Quad-core 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos processor, and the HTC One X has the Tegra3 1.5 GHz quad core processor. We really will not know the outcome of the speed test comparison till we get some benchmarks, but early tests have shown that the international version of the HTC One X with the Tegra3 quad core wins some and loses some. The AT&T version with the Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual core could possibly beat them all. Now the reason I am putting the processor and battery together is because they effect each other greatly. Samsung has gone with a 2100 mAh battery while HTC went with a smaller 1800. You can change up for an even larger battery in the GS3 but the HTC One X has a fixed battery (Although, Mugen Power has said they may be creating a battery for the HTC One X, but you would have to take apart your One X for it). The larger battery may give the GS3 the edge over the HTC One X but the AT&T version of the One X, again, may beat them due to the low 28 nanometer processor that uses less power that Qualcomm integrated in the Snapdragon S4.
With the camera capabilities I would say that it is all in what you are looking for. If you are a Facebook junky then you may lean towards the Samsung Galaxy S3 for its photo facial recognition that will tag your friends automatically and it can also send copies to anyone in the picture that it tags, then upload to your social media site. The Galaxy S 3 also has a larger front facing camera at 1.9MP while the HTC One X is at 1.3 with everyone else. The front facing camera to me is a joke. Till companies start putting 5MP or better in the front, I seriously do not care for the poor quality. When the HTC One X was released we all said the the camera is incredible, and it still is. The Samsung GS3 though has many more software capabilities that may just become a fad for most of us.
In this part I will tell you some of the features that the Samsung Galaxy S3 has that the HTC One X does not. Like the ever impressive wireless charging. Yes, that is right. Samsung has made the new GS3 capable of wireless charging. The GS3 also has S-Voice, which is Samsung's much better version of Apple's Siri that you will find in the iPhone 4S. It is very responsive and accurate.
Samsung has taken some pointers from HTC when it comes to their own operating system that they have added to the stock Ice Cream Sandwich operating system that Google has provided them. HTC Has made HTC Sense 4.0 much easier to use and a much simpler design. Samsung has done the same with their Touch Wiz operating system. As a matter of fact, the have bragged that it is the closest thing to stock Android Ice Cream Sandwich than any other makers operating system. Still do know if that is a good thing or bad.
Internal storage is the final part in this comparison. The HTC One X has 32GB of internal memory without the option of microSD expansion, but comes with 25GB of Dropbox storage. This is where the Samsung Galaxy S3 kills the HTC One X. The GS3 comes with your choice of 16, 32 or 64GB of internal memory with microSD expansion and 50GB of Dropbox storage. That right there will be the deciding factor for customers when picking their next great smartphone. For those of you that need to carry around a computers worth of memory in your pocket, the the Samsung Galaxy S3 is for you, but if you are looking for a new sleek design in a powerful smartphone then the HTC One X is your next smartphone.
They are both extremely incredible smartphones that I would never insult by comparing the Apple iPhone 4S to them. Apple can not even come close.

I am not to worried. The HTC One X has already sold million and will sell millions more. There will be those Samsung fans that get mad at how much Samsung failed at changing the look plus the fact that the HTC One X can play Tegra Zone games for the Tegra3 processor, and the graphics that are incredible.

The Samsung Galaxy S III does not include any shutter lag and offers a bit less than per second shot-to-shot time. You can use the camera phone to click images even when the video recording is on.
