HTC Gives Back Menu Button - HTC One X Update

AT&T has put out an update for the HTC One X, that will bring the current Ice Cream Sandwich operating system to version 4.0.4. This is not a small update. It is 270MB in size and is coming OTA.

Since the HTC One X was released, there were a few things about the new design that I never found to helpful. What I am talking about is the missing menu button and the menu bar that takes up a lot of viewing space. This new version of Ice Cream Sandwich turns your recent apps button into a menu button and at the same time gets rid of the menu bar.

This is a very big deal to me. The recent apps button never really did it for me. The menu bar made me feel like the screen was so much smaller. There is one thing about this update that could stop some from getting it. It is said that by installing the 4.0.4 update that you will be effectively stopping yourself from Rooting your HTC One X. I have not confirmed that but it is what is going around.
