5 HTC Smartphones Better Than The iPhone 5

When the iPhone 5 was announced and I heard everything that it was about, I have to say that it was disappointing. I expected more from Apple. Then I thought about how many HTC smartphones are clearly a better choice.

Starting with the HTC Incredible 4G LTE. I will say that the iPhone 5 is better looking than the HTC Incredible 4G LTE, but that is it. The HTC Incredible 4G LTE has a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon dual core 1.2 GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. We have yet to find out about the iPhone processor but we expect it to be around the same. They both have 8MP cameras but HTC Image Sense allows for SLR type shots, and also lets you capture pictures when you watch video that you have recorded. The 4inch display that you find on the HTC Incredible 4G LTE is not theater style wide screen and will not have problems with applications. The iPhone 5 is rumored to have under a 1600mAh battery while the HTC Incredible 4G LTE has a 1700mAh battery.

The HTC EVO 4G LTE first and foremost has a large 4.7 inch 720 x 1280 pixel display. The new iPhone 5 has less than 720. The HTC EVO 4G LTE comes with 16 GB storage, 1 GB RAM and a microSD slot that can hold 32GB more memory. We cannot forget the legendary EVO kickstand. The EVO 4G LTE also has the camera abilities that the HTC Incredible 4G LTE has but with a 4.7 inch display. The processor in the HTC EVO 4G LTE is the Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual core. Plus it has NFC and a 2000 mAh battery. I can find the HTC EVO 4G LTE for less than $50.

The HTC One S has dimensions coming in at 130.9 x 65 x 7.8 mm and only 119g. That is better than the iPhone 5 because of the fact the HTC One S has a bigger display coming in at 4.3inches. Just as thin as the iPhone 5 with a larger display. The 1650mAh battery and the awesome camera abilities gives the HTC One S the edge. If that is not enough, the HTC One S has the Qualcomm MSM8260A Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual core processor as well.

The last two HTC smartphones that crush the iPhone 5 is the HTC One X and the upcoming HTC One X+. The iPhone 5 has no chance in this comparison. The camera abilities and processor could do it alone but if you add the style and feel of the One X series, it is not even a contest. If the rumors about the HTC One X+ are true and it has a Tegra3 1.7GHz quad core in it then the iPhone does not have a chance. The 1800mAh battery, NFC capabilities, durability, free Google Play apps, PlayStation certified, and the most amazing 4.7 inch display on any smartphone is just the cherry on top.

I will say that iPhones in general are good smartphones but not great. They are excellent entry level to mid range smartphones. But in the end it does not matter what I say because as long as their is an Apple logo on it, people will mindlessly buy it.

IPhone 5 is said to have a 3300mah battery. That's it's only saving grace but not by much. No NFC, no capability of Swype, still no Flash, no kickstand, still a tiny screen in comparison to the "God Phones" as I call them and the panorama and toy GPS looks bolted on.

On a side note, any HTC phone can support a 64GB micro SD card. It will allow you to use 59.9GB out of 64. The key is to format there card within the device. My EVO 4G LTE now had a maximum storage memory of 76GB. No iPhone has that much memory.
