I am a sucker for Galaxy Nexus cases like my girlfriend is for Coach purses. You can NEVER have enough. I was given the opportunity to review the POP! case by Case-Mate for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone. I typically do not like cases that add too much bulk to a phone but the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is so thin already!
The POP! case for the Galaxy Nexus is a blend of a hard plastic shell with a soft rubber-grip material. This will help with those accidental drops as the case is impact resistant. This case has a two-toned color combination of white and cool grey to create a nice “Pop” (other colors like black/gray and pink/gray are also available). The rubber sides increase the grip and offer protection all the way around the phone. Also the case adds protection to the phone's screen when placed face down.
This case has a very form-fit and does not add too much bulk to the Galaxy Nexus. Again, I do not like bulk, but I am completely happy with this. And here is the best part, it works 100% with the extended battery for the Galaxy Nexus. Yes this will work with the original Samsung 2100mAh extended battery and door. As expected there are cut-outs for the Micro-USB charging port, headphone port, camera, speaker and the microphone. The power button and volume rockers are covered via the rubber grip. This is a nice touch. Did I mention the extended battery is in this? Love it.
Conclusion:
For the simple reason alone that this POP! case works with the Galaxy Nexus extended battery I recommend it. This case does not bulk up an already thin smartphone too much. If protection is what you want, this is the case to get.
