This rom is based on the G1 espresso port by eugene, i have ported it to the hero and added some parts from the Hero 2.1 roms, these are still pre-release software and do contain some bugs, some more noticable than others.

If you like my work, please donate so i can buy a hero for dev use


This has had no optimizations done yet, future versions will be optimized and i will be adding a2sd if possible, do not ask for compcache as that cannot be added due to no kernel sources available.

Great work. So far very feature rich.

There are plenty of other 3rd party music applications on the marketplace tat you can use inplace of the built in applications.

To enable COMPLETE Google sync (Contacts) I found that skipping Google login during setup. After setup is complete, enable Google login and login to the market place.

app2sd and some optimizations would be nice but i will definately use this in prod overnight.

brilliant easily one of the best 2.1 builds so far might even go as far to say its good enough for everyday use. only problems ive had so far is the odd FC. the resolution of facebook pictures in the people widget and location services (like google maps, and clock and weather dont select my location like on previous roms) ive even installed the navigation apk but that wont work due the location thing but if you can fix that it will make the rom even better. im looking forward to ur next update

---- also just noticed when using bookmarks within the browser it forcecloses they work from the bookmark widget just not from within the browser same for adding bookmarks

Is there any possiblity to just post the dialer? Would that one work with a 2.0 based ROM, or is all events/actions/buttons mapped to HTC special stuff for contacts etc.?

Downloading now, I'll add some comments once I flash it. But I notice in the screenshots the bottom bar is still the old Sense UI version.
What happened to the Espresso one? The updated version?

i replaced the espresso rosie with the hero rosie as espresso only has 5 screens

the next version will be out tonite and has fully working mail, news reader, and music. aswell as fixed bookmarks in browser.
