I am not responsible of any problem you may face using those files. You must know what you are doing when using those files, if you don't, don't use them. Froyo release FRF85B Update using official patch file You must be runnning the stock FRF83 release with stock recovery. Copy that file to the root of your sdcard, rename to update.zip, launch recovery (power on with volume down held), press power and volume up when the warning triangle icon appears then select 'apply update.zip'. Download: Google Update.zip to flash with custom recovery This is the totally stock FRF85B repacked as update.zip. The radio hasn't changed since FRF50, so if you are using it, you can keep it and install the noradio version. Download: - without radio image: 4shared - multiupload (md5sum: 239237c5d59ba14d50ca4c3e614e0e13) Root To root FRF85, just flash this update.zip (df9bac43866eb048479fa16fa1b559dd) (contains busybox, superuser.apk, su, unsecured boot.img) Last edited by lox; June 28th, 2010 at 10:06 PM. |

I was unsuccessful with the update.zip to root it using stock FRF85B.
I got an OTA update with FRF85B (which blew away root). Renamed to update.zip, copied to SD, reboot recovery, apply update.zip ... Signature fail. Should I extract boot.img and flash that from adb first? Thanks |

I came from Cyan 5.0.8 and went back to EPE54B rooted & unlocked then flashed FRF85B from another website. Now I obviously lost my root and custom recovery and wanted to know if I can root with this file on this thread? I tried to do it using the stock recovery but I get a signature error.
Edit: I got the same problem as rmagruder. |

The first post is clear:
Update.zip to flash with custom recovery It says it all. Thus, install a custom recovery. It is easy if your phone is unlocked: - reboot holding trackball - fastboot flash recovery recovery.img Then reboot in recovery and flash the update.zip. We cannot provide update.zip for stock recovery has it has to be signed by google. Regards |

Sorry I'm sort of a noob to the Nexus One. Just got it this month. I installed RA Amon's Recovery with Fastboot and got the update up and running! Thanks! Sorry for not understanding.

I am currently running rooted EPE54B with RA-nexus-v1.7.0.1 recovery. Would it be possible for you to provide a custom update.zip that includes the radio image? If not, can you point me to a separate radio image and confirm that it would be safe for me to manually update the radio before or after your -noradio- image above.
Thanks! |
