HD2 and GPS - newbie question

Hi

I'm about to buy an HD2 but I have these questions about GPS (I'm new to HTC and GPS):

- Does it support turn-by-turn voice guided GPS?
- Is it possible install the maps in the memory or card and use it offline?
- Is any kind of subscription needed to use the GPS?

Btw, I plan to use the GPS in southern Europe, if that matters.

Thanks to the GPS receiver, HD2 does support

- turn by turn voice guided navigation, depending on the software you select
- commercial offline navigation solutions are always installed on the memory card
- A-GPS could generate some cost, but you can load the data through Wlan, too

There is no subscription needed to use the GPS signal, but you might want to buy commercial navigation software to get the best out of your device. Follow-up cost can occur through map updates. All you need is to compare the offer, there are quite a few interesting programs: iGo, Navigon, TomTom, CoPilot, etc...

Where can i download those maps? or i dont mind paying if it doesnt cost me an arm or leg

In Europe, one can buy this kind of software online... I think there are several options also in Canada. Maybe you could check CoPilot, Route 66, Sygic... (at least the last one is offered online, too).
