Our Opinion

Regardless of what some people are writing about the HTC One S, it is just not true. I would take the HTC One S in a second. If the HTC One X is the best smartphone in the world then the HTC One S comes in a close second. I highly recommend playing with the HTC One S thoroughly because shocking is an understatement!!

HTC One S Hands On Review

The HTC One S is not getting the props that it should be. When I tried out the HTC One X, I thought to myself that there is no good reason why HTC made the One S if they have the One X. I stand corrected. The HTC One S is not only a great phone, but it completely destroys the iPhone 4S.

When I picked up the HTC One S, I actually caught myself standing there just staring at both the HTC One S and the HTC One X. I could not wrap my brain around how thin, light, and durable the HTC One S felt. What a great feeling phone.

So, then I moved on to the workings of the HTC One S. I am surprised that HTC went in a similar route to the iPhone. The entire One lineup have non-removable batteries and memory. I hear a lot of groans from HTC fans about it. Who cares if you can take out the battery if it works good. As far as the memory, the deal with DropBox, giving all new HTC users 2 years of 25GB cloud memory for free makes it a non-issue.

While I played with the HTC One S, I did notice that I just could not see on how HTC could consider this a lesser smartphone compared to the HTC One X. Other than it having a smaller screen, there was no real difference. Basically, the HTC One S will be T-Mobile's champion while the HTC One X is AT&T's. Customers that want a smaller version of the HTC One X should go right for the HTC One S.

Regardless of what some people are writing about the HTC One S, it is just not true. I would take the HTC One S in a second. If the HTC One X is the best smartphone in the world then the HTC One S comes in a close second. I highly recommend really playing with the HTC One S thoroughly. Stayed tuned for a full review of all features.
