Our Opinion

In the end I have to say that I do love the HTC EVO 4G LTE no matter how much Sprint and HTC failed on the exterior design. Nothing a case could not hide. As long as we can get Jelly Bean before the year is out, the HTC EVO 4G LTE will be tough to beat.

HTC EVO 4G LTE Review - Walk Through w/video

If you are looking to find out what you are getting when you purchase the HTC EVO 4G LTE, then you have come to the right place. In this review, I will tell you the specifications, high points, and low points for the HTC EVO 4G LTE. If you are looking for the largest selection of accessories for your HTC EVO 4G LTE, then visit HTCpedia shop.

The HTC EVO 4G LTE is the next smartphone in, what is becoming, a long line of EVO coming from Sprint. Of course it has the legendary kickstand that is well known to the EVO community. I have the black version with the red kickstand, but you should know that as of yesterday, a new white HTC EVO 4G LTE is available. That one does not have a red kickstand but more of a silver or grey.

The HTC EVO 4G does not have a uni-body design like the HTC One X. The top piece that is around the camera is a shinny black plastic that attracts fingerprints more than anything. I find myself cleaning it constantly. Just for that reason alone I went and put a case on it so that I would not have to see it anymore. Fortunately the rest of the HTC EVO 4G LTE is not made of the same material.

The best part about the HTC EVO 4G LTE and it's exterior design has to be the dedicated camera button located on the lower right side. Taking pictures using this button is so much easier then pressing the virtual button located on the right of the screen when in camera mode. What I do not understand is why HTC does not put that in all their smartphones. It is worth it.

The HTC EVO 4G LTE has a super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen at 4.7 inches with 720 x 1280 pixels, with 16 GB of internal storage, 1 GB RAM and a microSD slot capable of 32GB more memory. The camera that is in the HTC EVO 4G LTE is an 8 MP taking 3264x2448 pixels shots, and 1080p @30fps video. Take shots while recording or during playback.

Running this powerhouse smartphone is the Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual core processor that can run on Sprints new LTE network that has just went up in 5 cities. One of the best parts of the HTC EVO 4G LTE is the battery, a large 2000 mAh. Normally you would have to buy an extended battery for that power.

Of course the HTC EVO 4G LTE comes running with Google 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich that is integrated with the new HTC Sense 4.0. The new HTC Sense is so much better than its older models. It has been made much more simple and has a better feel when using. The problem HTC was having is that they were making HTC Sense so complicated that it was getting annoying to use, but not any more.

Make your HTC EVO 4G LTE more your style with the new personalize section in your applications and settings.

...and put your applications exactly the way you want. HTC has out done themselves with the HTC EVO 4G LTE.

Here is a little review of the great features you will find in the HTC EVO 4G LTE

In the end I have to say that I do love the HTC EVO 4G LTE no matter how much Sprint and HTC failed on the exterior design. Nothing a case could not hide. As long as we can get Jelly Bean before the year is out, the HTC EVO 4G LTE will be tough to beat.
